Scanned by people who understand the drawings
Our technicians have scanned occupied hospitals, working plants, parking garages and heritage façades. We register the data ourselves, and our drawings and models are built directly from that same registered point cloud.
In Florida we work the same way as everywhere else: one site visit, one coordinated deliverable set and one point of contact. If a project is outside our scope, we tell you up front.
- Quoted by the person who scansNo sales layer. The scope you agree to is the scope we capture.
- One point cloud, every deliverablePlans, sections and models all come from the same registered dataset.
- A straight answer up frontIf a project needs a surveyor or falls outside what we do, we tell you before you spend anything.

How it works
From site visit to deliverable in three steps
Scanning, registration and drafting by one team. No hand-offs, no surprises.

We scan on site
Usually one to two days for a commercial building. No disruption to tenants, guests or production.

You get the point cloud
Every scan stitched into one accurate 3D file (E57 / RCP) you can open in Revit, AutoCAD or Navisworks.

We draw what you need
Floor plans, sections, elevations or a full Revit model, drafted in-house to the detail your project calls for.

FAQ
3D laser scanning in Florida: questions we get before a quote
How much does 3D laser scanning cost in Florida?
It depends on the size and complexity of the site and on what you need drawn. A single-floor commercial space with 2D as-builts is a different job from a plant with piping in Revit. Send the address, building type and deliverables and we will come back with a scoped quote. Our cost guide explains what drives the price.
How long does a project take?
On-site capture for a standard commercial building is usually one to two days. 2D as-builts and Revit models typically follow in one to three weeks depending on level of detail and MEP complexity. Larger plants, resorts and heritage sites are scoped individually.
What do we receive?
Registered point clouds (E57, RCP), 2D as-built floor plans, RCPs, sections and elevations (DWG, DXF), Revit / BIM models (RVT), IGES for mechanical work, and deviation or floor-flatness reports. We deliver in the format your team already works in.
Can you scan an occupied hotel, condo or operating facility?
Yes. Most of our work is in occupied buildings. We schedule around guests, tenants and production, and the scanner does not touch anything.
Can a scan help with building recertification or a milestone inspection?
A scan gives the engineer accurate current drawings and a dated, measurable record of the structure, which is what the documentation side of a recertification needs. The inspection itself is still performed by the licensed engineer; the scan gives them better data. See our recertification guide.
Where in Florida do you work?
Across the state. Most of our Florida work is in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, Orlando and Tampa Bay, and we travel to Jacksonville, Naples, Sarasota and Fort Myers.
How accurate is 3D laser scanning?
Survey-grade terrestrial scanners capture to a few millimetres, and a registered point cloud of a whole building is typically within ±3 mm (2–4 mm depending on range and setup). Drawings and models are traced from that cloud, so what you get reflects the building as it stands, not as it was drawn decades ago.
Is 3D laser scanning better than a traditional survey for as-builts?
For existing buildings, yes. A scan captures everything in view in one visit, so nothing has to be re-measured later, and the point cloud stays useful for the life of the project. Traditional surveying still has its place for boundaries and control. We compare the two in our 3D scanning vs traditional surveying article.
Do you scan condos for the milestone inspection or SIRS?
Yes. We scan the structure, garage and façade and hand the engineer measured drawings and a dated point cloud to work from. The inspection and the report are still the engineer's; the scan gives them current, verifiable geometry instead of the archive set.
